Sheet Metal Fabrication

Fabtek specializes in several high-precision services including sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, turret cutting, and precision press break forming. Utilizing top-of-the-line technology, our Fabtek operations seamlessly execute projects to Boneal’s high quality standard.

Metal Finishing

Some processes are messy: grinding, sanding, and buffing are not compatible with a clean production environment, as these operations could introduce dust and contaminants into the work space. Fabtek acts as a one-stop solution for the metal finishing of over 30,000 stainless steel enclosures each year.

Welding

Fabtek proudly offers both manual and resistance welding solutions, including GMAW (MIG Welding), GTAW (TIG Welding), and FCAW (Arc Welding) processes in low to medium volumes with capabilities in ferrous and non-ferrous material up to 1⁄2” meeting AWS standards. Fabtek also provides ERW (Electric Resistance Welding) and CD (Capacitor Discharge) Stud Welding. We specialize in mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

In addition to welding, Fabtek offers the installation of nut inserts and standoffs. Through a seamless partnership with our customers, we guarantee the highest standards of quality while meeting all their unique welding and assembly needs.

Powder Coating

In addition to our standard services, Fabtek also specializes in high-quality metal finishing – Powder coating services. Our powder coat finishing system is adherent to the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard.

To ensure product quality, Fabtek inspects each part to specific LAB color points using an electronic color eye . This provides a level of inspection beyond what the human eye can perform to give our customers a world-class product for market.

Fabtek’s customized finishing system includes:

  • Conveyorized system
  • Pretreatment washers and 3-stage wash, iron phosphate
  • Nordson powder application
  • Gas furnace preheat, dry off, and cure oven
  • Environmental Control Application booth

Fabtek maintains the following:

  • Nylon, epoxy, modified polyester paints, and zinc-rich primers
  • CIE L*a*b* spectrophotometer color analysis
  • Rapid color change USPS-P-1170 compliant

Leadership

Chris Daniels

Chris Daniels is the Director of Operations for Boneal Holdings. In this role, his mission is to ensure the standardization and continuous innovation of lean-based systems across all Boneal operations. Similarly, he is responsible for overseeing production capacity, along with setting and maintaining the safety and quality standards for all Boneal business units.

Mr. Daniels also is the General Manager of MKA and Fabtek. In this role he has overseen the engineering and manufacturing of 800+ MD-1 Tow Bars for the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Daniels started his career at Boneal 14 years ago, initially as a Manufacturing Engineer. As he developed within the company, he attained the position of Production Supervisor. Before becoming the General Manager, Mr. Daniels held the role of Programs and Engineering Manager of Boneal.

Prior to joining Boneal, Mr. Daniels earned a B.S. in Physics from Morehead State University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
